HISA Squash Summer Camp:
My two sons have just completed their first week of the summer squash camp at SC1AC with Coach Waseem, and have absolutely enjoyed it! They have enjoyed the fun filled, intense training and the wonderful company of the other children at the camp. They both say they can feel their bodies growing stronger and their skill level improving daily. Their coach, Coach Waseem, takes the time to customize some of the exercises to suit the stamina and skill level of each student so that they are all equally challenged. In fact, they have had such a good time this past week that they have asked to continue with the camp each week of their summer vacation!
As a parent especially a working mother, it is truly gratifying to see the children not just stay occupied by their summer camp activity, but to also see them learn a great sport, grow physically stronger, stay active regardless of the weather (being indoors is a bonus), develop great sportsmanship, make friends and learn social skills, build character, exercise responsibility, return home afterwards really happy but too tired for any electronic time (yay!) and be excited about going back the next morning - and the next week! It is truly worth it! Thank you, coach Waseem and SC1AC. Sincerely, S. S. (06/16/12)

Squash Coaching: My 13 and 11 year old sons took their first ever squash lesson in October last year at SC1AC. Over the years they have played and enjoyed several sports, but never quite stuck with one. However, within the first hour of coaching with Coach Waseem, it was evident – they had found “their” sport! They were hooked!
Coach Waseem is not just skilled at squash but has all the qualities of being a great teacher and mentor. He has a rigorous training program, but is very caring of the student's overall well being and aware of each student's individual personality. The children sincerely respect him and hold him with high regard. They return from their coaching sessions always inspired and motivated to work harder and give it their best - no small feat when working with pre-teens/teens! They are driven to channel all their restless, youthful energy towards their training and learning of squash.
Coach Waseem also gives his students ample opportunities to work/apply their skills through regular scrimmages and tournaments. Here they get exposed to the others of varying ages and skill levels in a competitive setting – with an audience. This helps grow and develop not just in their game but also as sportsmen. S. S. My twins boys love squash, they attended a few summer camps, but were not happy with the coaching content or style.
In 2010 summer they spent 12 weeks with Wassem Haq. Their fitness increased by 90%. Their squash court movements improved by 75%. Their game intelligence grew 10 time.
Their game has been completely transformed in a matter of 12 weeks. They still have long ways to go, but the basic foundation laid by International coach Wassem Haq is awesome. S.K. (4/24/11)
- I wanted to let you know that since the time my son has started taking coaching from you, his squash game has improved leaps and bounds not only in terms of speed but also technique. We are also very excited about the Sunday tournaments that you recently started. I think it will give the young players exposure to how react to in competitive situations. Thank you for your commitment to the game of squash, and more importantly to the betterment of your students. Best Regards, M. M. (3/28/11)
- My kids are taking lessons from Waseem since February 2010. Their squash has improved a lot. He is very patient with kids and knows how to teach different squash level kids. He is really a good teacher with a lot of experience and knowledge. S.H. (10/24/10)

My 6 year old son Quentin was in your squash class this summer. I arrived back in British Columbia this week. Thank-you for your junior squash lessons! Quentin thoroughly enjoyed your instruction. You provided a great balance of structured technique building exercises with positive motivation for squash. After his lessons, Quentin would frequently ask to practice squash for another 60 - 90 min. With kind regards, C. S. , Canada (09/09/2010)
- Lessons are very good. My kids are progressing at much faster pace than I ever thought. They won their tournaments lately which they can only dreamed off. R.G. (9/4/10)
- Progress seen in 16 years old junior speaks wonders about Waseem's coaching. G.S. (8/8/10)
